The Challenge: Bringing the GE-ENie Project to Life

To scale their impact, Denglisch Docs is developing GE-ENie — a German-English AI-powered dictionary to help language learners with support of modern technology. Creating this high-tech tool requires a specific mix of psycholinguistics and AI expertise. To accelerate the development of the tool, Denglisch Docs decided to hire another dedicated expert for their team. 

Unlocking Growth with the "MID-Assistent" Grant

After a comprehensive Grants Analysis, Startpunkt identified the MID-Assistent Grant as the perfect push for the project GE-ENie. This program supports the hiring of university graduates for innovation and digitalization.

• Target Group: SMEs in NRW with fewer than 50 employees.
• Subsidy: Up to € 48,000 over two years for a full-time position (or € 33,000 if the company already has academic staff).
• Requirements: The graduate must have finished their degree within the last 2 years and spend 50% of their time working in NRW.
